So you had just recovered from the shock of seeing Kurt Cobain play Jon Bon Jovi songs?
Iggy Pop – whom you might remember from such classy endorsements as his shirtless TV ad for Swiftcover life insurance – has allowed himself to be rendered in Lego for a forthcoming junior edition of the hit video game ‘Rock Band’.
Punk purists may find it hard to imagine the garage-rock shaman and former heroin addict who saw the city’s ripped backside, sliced up his chest onstage, and used to wave his nutsack around at the slightest provocation as a LEGO avatar.
Now gamers perhaps not quite mature enough to play the more grownup versions of Rock Band and Guitar Hero, will be able to control our Iggy Pop, as they tear apart such jams as “The Passenger.”
Whatever next…
