China has put World of Warcraft under review again today (2nd November 2009) in a crackdown against online gaming. The government arm that regulates online gaming in China has suspended approval for NetEase.com Inc to operate Activision-Blizzard’s online role-playing game World of Warcraft. NetEase have been asked to stop collecting fees and suspend new account registration as the game is in violation of regulation agreements.
The times they are a’ changing! The main stream music industry, although reluctant, are seeing the light and that a mammoth shift is occurring in the way we listen to music.
As well as being the greatest marketing tool ever invented the internet is also a great way for music fans to access more music and in ever more interesting ways. But up until now the virtual reality aspect of Web 2.0 has not really been taken advantage of.
