Leona Lewis has snubbed the chance to perform for US President Barack Obama - because she is too busy working on her second album.
The pop star is currently spending her days holed up at a recording studio in Los Angeles, preparing tracks for the follow-up to her hit debut Spirit.
For EMI, things just go from bad to worse. Joss Stone has offered to forfeit as much as £2m to escape her record contract, according to reports. The singer is allegedly desperate to leave the label after having released just one album out of a £7.5m four-album deal.
