Michael Jackson has officially become the most popular person on Facebook, with more than 7 million fans on the social networking site.

Previously, the most popular person on Facebook, with just over 6 million fans, was U.S. President Obama.

Another festival came to an end this weekend - Electric Picnic in Ireland

The Flaming Lips brought Ireland’s Electric Picnic festival to a close last night ( Sunday 6th September), capping the three-day event with a typically elaborate and celebratory stage show featuring balloons, confetti and frontman Wayne Coyne’s trademark man-sized bubble.

Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet tour is top earner

Madonna’s ‘Sticky and Sweet’ world tour has been named the highest-grossing for a solo artist ever.

The tour, which finished in Tel Aviv yesterday (2nd September), made $408m (£250m), according to promoters Live Nation.

Glasvegas in vintage clothes shop

Glasvegas played a secret gig in a vintage clothes shop in their hometown of Glasgow last night (1st September).

The group played to 50 fans in the We Love To Boogie shop in the west end of the city, with hundreds more gathered outside.

Thom Yorke - ‘Whassup?’

Radiohead shocked fans by opening with ‘Creep’ as they headlined the final night (30th August) of the 2009 Reading Festival.

Taking to the event’s Main Stage, frontman Thom Yorke casually wandered up to his mic, simply greeting the crowd with “Wassup!” - mimicking an old beer commerical - before launching into their 1992.
